Spyker C12 Put On Hold

Spyker C12 ZagatoEver since we first saw it at the Geneva Auto Show in March we have been craving to take out for a test drive and find for ourselves exactly what makes the Spyker C12 Zagato powerful and appealing. Unfortunately we are going to have to wait a little longer. Automakers have put the production of the brand new Spyker on hold.

Only 24 of these amazing supercars will be made for people who have already paid the steep price to reserve themselves one. Why have they put it on hold? Apparently at this time Spyker doesn’t have the production capacity to build the ones that they need. Right now, the company has enough to deal with getting its backlog of current and coming models made, at the same time working to shore up its finances.

According to the Auto Telegraaf, the company will be posting a large loss this year, the F1 team is having trouble with sponsors, and company shareholders are bickering. Not that we would necessarily spend $700K on one, but we would think it a shame if the C12 Zagato was crushed by market forces.
