Australian Lotus Exige Sport 240
Australia is one of the most common countries to relax and have some fun, but when it comes to cars they don’t have the best reputation for making them adapt well for consumers. However, Australia Lotus is ready to change all that with their new Exige Sport 240.
The car will be formally unveiled in October at the Australian International Auto Show. Lotus says the Exige Sport 240 will be sold only in Australia, where only six copies will be available initially, priced at $123,500. The Lotus Sport 240 will feature a supercharged engine capable of feeding 240 horsepower to the tarmac through sophisticated adjustable traction control and launch control systems that should see the roadster tearing up more expensive competition on the racetrack as well as the road.
For the first time in the Australia market, a torque-sensing limited-slip differential is standard on the Exige Sport 240. The car also gets a driver-adjustable traction control system developed by Lotus Sport.
“Designed specifically for Australia, we are excited and proud to add this bespoke Exige to our existing range.” said Jonathan Stretton, Sales and Marketing Manager of Lotus Cars Australia. “Cars like the Exige Sport 240 show our passion and commitment to the Australian market.”
“This Exige Sport 240 will only be available in Australia. We have worked with the Lotus factory in the UK to select specific styling and performance parts based on what we know will improve performance, but also taking into account customer feedback and current trends in this market.”
