For years Bentley has been told that they need to come out with a car that will exceed 200 mph. At one point they came close with 198 mph, but that still wasn’t good enough for the consumers who love the feel of a fast car. Well know they have fixed this problem and created the 2008 Continental GT Speed, which is capable of 203 mph.

The GT is able to kick out 602 horsepower at 6000 rpm. This is 50 more horsepower then the previous GT model an outstanding improvement. But what else can you expect from a twin-turbo twelve-cylinder engine. Thanks to this engine, the 2008 GT produces more power than any other Bentley.

That isn’t the only improved thing you will find under the hood. Bentley used increased airflow, recalibrated ECU, lighter connecting rods, and decreased internal friction for the added power. Now you can impress your friends by going from 0 to 60 mph in only 4.3 seconds. It isn’t the best time we have hears from a sports car, but it is a step in the right direction for Bentley.

Now that we have seen what they have done under the hood it’s time to see what they have done on the outside of the car. The suspension was revised with a dropped ride height and more aggressive spring and shock settings, as well as stiffer anti-roll bars. The wheel are 20 inches and 0.5 inches wider than the base GT.
